Permissions
Need to use a brief excerpt, a poem, or an image from one of our titles?
Small Scale (Social Media & Reviews): You don’t need formal permission to quote a short passage for a book review, a social media post, or a “bookstagram” feature. Just please credit the author and the book title!
Formal Requests: For anything larger—such as reprinting an excerpt in an anthology, using text for a musical composition, or classroom distributions—please contact us at specialsales [at] boreorealispress.com. Our website and copyright statements banning use of any of our materials in any AI datasets stands and we expect it to be respected. Ingestion into datasets or LLMs is not permissible under any circumstance unless with full consent by Boreorealis Press and proper compensation ahead of time.
Subsidiary Rights
We manage a variety of subrights for our catalog. If you are an agent, publisher, or producer interested in licensing our IP, we’d love to chat about:

How to Make a Request
To help us process your inquiry quickly, please email specialsales [at] boreorealispress.com with “Rights Inquiry” or “Permission Request” in the subject line. Include the following details:
- The Title and Author of the book.
- The exact material you wish to use (page numbers or specific chapters).
- The context: Where will this appear? (e.g., a movie, a textbook, a non-profit newsletter).
- The scope: Distribution territory (e.g., North America, World) and estimated print run or audience size.
Please Note: Rights clearances can take time. We recommend reaching out at least 4–6 weeks before your deadline to ensure we have plenty of time to review and respond.
