An author and educator transforming dementia care through the arts. As the creator of the “How You Are to Me Approach,” he merges clinical research with creative practice. A veteran NYC improviser (UCB/Magnet Theater), Evan was a member of the NIH and NIA-funded “Scripted-IMPROV” clinical trial, studying the effects of interactive theater on the dementia population. With “How to Play With a Grandma,” Evan translates complex therapeutic strategies into a gentle, story-based format, empowering children and parents to maintain meaningful, compassionate connections with loved ones living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
